Any Free Lego plans?

My daughter has a big box of lego but no
instructions to build anything. Does anyone
know where we can download some decent
build plans?

i had the same thing when i was a kid, it was sold like that, and called creative when you made whatever you liked
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

peeron is great if you have a specific set without the plans, but as littlejaffa says it is probably better to design your own depending on the bits you have: if you have windows and doors, she would probably like to build a house or caravan or even a whole town. Wheels: make a fantasy vehicle. My son likes to build a town even though he has quite a lot of specific items: he builds them once and then cannibalises them for bits for his town. When I was a kid I spent hours and hours building and rebuilding houses with stairs etc.
  • and if you find the instructions for a model you don't have the pieces for, build it on your pc (for free of course)

A few years ago I had to track some down for my son

This was one site I used, look at the links on the right hand site when you get to it
I also used Peeron as recommended LindsayandMatthew
  • In the customer services section of Lego.co.uk there are downloadable instructions for all sorts of sets. I had a look around to see what sort of things we could build then printed the relevant instructions.
I also typed in the keyword 'promotion' and it brought up a huge list of little sets given away in the Mirror/ McD's/ garages etc; these often don't need too many specialised parts.

    Off now to see mini-bricks...
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
