Hi Everyone,
Its that time of the year where i need to consider leaving/ switching.
I would so love your advice on these two.
I currently have sky £60 per month (Tv/broadband &line rental) with normal channels and children's. With the children now both in school I feel its a waste of money. Then today to top things off i see new customers are being offered a free Tv or Laptop
Next to change
My Mobile contract (I'm due an upgrade with 02) i now pay £36 per month for unlimited calls/data etc . I would like a new samsung so do I stay with 02? I've paid the handset off- is there anything good around at the moment? especially with a freebie?
Thank you so much! I havent posted here in ages, I'm Rusty!

What proportion of calls (to landline and mobile numbers) made on your mobile are made while you are at home and what proportion are made while you are out?
How much use does your landline get for outgoing calls to other landlines and to mobiles on weekdays during the day and early evening?0 -
Hi Ian,
Thanks for the reply really appreciate your help with this ( It will be a big help to my little family) I use my mobile only to make calls.. aprox 2 hours per week max to a landline and maybe 1-2 hours max to a mobile (this would all be done at home) . I mainly use whatsapp (i prefer to message) and I also use fb on my mobile to make calls. I only have the landline for the internet its a real waste..
TV is being used so minimal these days (just my daughter liking the Disney channel) and I like E4 etc and maybe MTV now and again.
Thank you lots!0 -
Decide what you actually need .
Mobile what about PAYG if you mainly use whatsapp .
If you are out of contract you can consider a switch of ISP .
There are a number of posts on here telling you how to get a discount from SKY for a new contract .0 -
If you are mainly using your mobile phone while at home, it looks like using your landline to make calls will be far cheaper. You can drop the mobile deal down to the bare minimum to cover calls made while away from home.
On landlines, around £8 per month gets unlimited anytime calls to landlines and 03 numbers. Most landline providers (except BT!) now also have inclusive calls to mobile numbers as part of the deal.0 -
E4 and MTV are on Freeview, so your only pay to view channel is the Disney, if you have an aerial. E4 is on Freesat.0

They can switch tv on and off at will and they can, with notice, switch off your phone line and broadband.
However, this means you lose your phone number, have a break in service and may have to pay a cease charge.
The way to move is choose your new provider and get them to do the transfer (you should mention wishing to keep your number).
In this way you have only a very short break in service (possibly an hour), keep your number (if you make sure of this) and may avoid a transfer charge as the new company may absorb it (but this is not guaranteed).0
