Laptop advice please?

My daughter is starting uni next week. She wants to buy a basic laptop before she goes. Has anyone got any recommendations? She's not really into games, just for essays and internet

Its all well and good getting a cheap laptop but you want it to last for three years maybe four and beyond so it might be worth your time money and effort in investing in one of these laptops at very good value for money.

Make sure that it comes with MS Office, as that's got Word, Excel and Powerpoint on it, all of which she's likely to need during her degree.
