how to create clean links

Hi,
Could anyone please explain to me how to post a clean link to a facebook competition rather than a link that has all the numbers at the end!
Is it just a matter of only copying the link half way and stopping before the number start?
Will that take the reader directly to the post i want to share?

If you are linking direct to a post and not a page there will be a load of numbers but it can still a be clean link
