High price from Expedia!

I booked this hotel through Thomsons, flights, transfers, reserved seats and 7 nights H/B for two people for £611.12 for the 10th October 2016.

Earlier today I got an email from Tripadvisor following up my visit to their site and it had a link to check the prices, so I had a look.
I have never booked through them or Expedia and never will .

Below are screen shots of their quote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flights not included!

Expedia has a number of rooms allocated to them. They also have a clever little computer program working hard to get the highest price they can for them. If you look at thescreenshot, they only have one room left in the selected category - Lower availability with limited time left tobook pushes up prices. This is called yield managment.

I would book through Expedia - but only after checking everywhere else I can think of first. I tend to just book the cheapest. Shop arround - it can save lots.

I have booked through Expedia (with Quidco cashback!) dozens of times and never had a problem. All booking sites have their pricing quirks especially when it comes to limited availability. As long as you book with your eyes open then what's the problem?

Probably just an error price. I've seen similar on Hotels.com for properties that should be 1/10 of the price.

i wouldn't rule out Expedia just on that one quote, I've found them to be really competitive in the past for hotels. I check Expedia among other agents when looking at booking accommodation, and go with the best quote (which has included being Expedia in the past).
