Hello, I need help and was going to email MSE until I found an article that stated they don't have the staff power to respond so to post on here for help. I want to be a money saving expert but I don't know where to start and because I've never really had to deal with this before, it's a lot overwhelming! Anyway here is what I need advice and help with
Firstly I have a mortgage an it's current interest rate is set at 3.24% and my mother in law told me this is far to high in current market and said something about being able to take money out of the house but I just don't get how this works. I have had a conversation with my bank about it and all 3 times I've spoke to them, they have arranged a callback. Never received any of these. Any help and advise on this would be great fully received.
Secondly I'm on prepay for gas and electric on a standard tariff with about £100 to £150 (energy company say they can't give me accurate amount as their systems take a few weeks to update with meter payment) of debt on my gas account. I know I can change suppliers and most new supplier set up payment plan for the debt but is there any way I can move to billed accounts while I still have debt on my account? Again any help and advice would be greatfully received.
Thirdly I am considering becoming selfemployed so I can help my partner with bills and still be available to be there for our boys school runs but is there anything beside telling the tax man that I need to do? As previously stated any help or advise would be greatfully recieved.
And finally credit cards I need a card which offers 0% on balance transfers and a cash back service, can anyone recommend one because are current one has expired for 0% on purchases and doesn't offer a cash back service.
Please if anyone can help me both me my fianc! and my 2 boys would be extremely greatfully! Many thanks in advance to anyone who does reply to the thread!

hi I am rubbish at all of your questions but wish you well. Have you looked at MSE's cards section in banking at the top of the page. Martin is always highlighting good deals on credit cards.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220
