Which is what I would do., but then we don't know where OP lives.
Thanks peachy for clarifying my post - this was exactly what I meant lol!
As far as I can remember, I changed at Reading for Gatwick and the same for Heathrow .0 -
Is the £350 return?
That may not be as bad as it sounds
2 weeks parking in Heathrow is going to cost you about £100
+ you need to get from heathrow to Gatwick - so thats going to be at least £50 (gatwick to heathrow taxi on google say £50)
Without knowing where you are from - you will need to factor in your Fuel on top. So lets say at least £60?
Will you need an overnight hotel? Ive driven home after US flight (200 miles) its not something I would want to do again. Maybe because by the time I got home I had spent only 2-3 hours sleeping of the previous 40 hours.0 -
Hi,
I live on the south coast in Dorset. It takes about 2.5 - 3 hours to drive to London from home ( on a good traffic day!!)
Yes, the quote was £350 return.
Lots of helpful advice, thanks all!0 -

Meteor Meet and Greet offer a transfer service for cars.
We will be flying out of Heathrow and back to Gatwick next month. They will transfer the car from Heathrow to Gatwick for us. The cost is an additional £105 on top of the usual parking fee.
We have used them before and it worked well.
It's not at all apparent from their website that this is an option. It's only when you start proceeding with the booking that it becomes apparent that you can choose one airport and terminal for the drop off and a different airport and terminal for the pickup.0 -
Thanks for that sandsy, I'd never heard of them before. I will have a look.0
