Hi to everyone,
Literally completed yesterday, went there straight away and noticed two weird things.
First is in kitchen, under the stairs. It does work because it buzz and when I switch it off then it does not buzz :j Then right above it in the bedroom one there is build in wardrobe that starts from 3 feet above from the floor level. I think that thing in the kitchen pile up through the floor and ends on second floor. Please see my floor plan with red X cross. This is the place.

This is the thing(few pics):

Not suren if its relavtive but yes that there is a new boiler fitted in the kitchen.
Thing number two. Right above the boiler. In a cupboard. There is a pipe with something on top of it.
Please see picture: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c4uznuwin638l3x/DSC00694.JPG?dl=0
What is it? Do I need it? Can I make it shorter some how or totally get rid of it?
Thing number three. What is this? Master bedroom, right on the wall. https://www.dropbox.com/s/u19742wwb0yxr9k/IMG_1863.JPG?dl=0
Thats everything for now. Please tell me what these things are and how or who can deal with them?
Thank you

It looks like a heater. Perhaps a gas-fired space heater - warm air heating was very popular then as an alternative to radiators. The photo of the label is very fuzzy.
The round thing in front of the washing looks like a small expansion vessel, either to allow space for water to expand into as it heats up, or perhaps to avoid "water hammer" when turning taps off.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Personally, I would get advice from a certified "Gas Safe" engineer, just to make sure everything you have got is safe.
I would also put the towels through the washing machine again because they are looking a bit grubby;)
The whole setup looks a bit "Heath Robinson" to me.0 -
I agree - item 2 is definately a water hammer arrestor - see here for a similar item:

I'm not sure what the other things are though - from what I can make out of the label it looks like the first item is something to do with water heating. can you get a clearer picture of the label?
Perhaps the third item, hanging on the wall, is an electric panel heater.
Edit: Looks like the first item is some sort of Johnson and Starley warm air heater. That being the case be careful if you do anything with it as it probably contains asbestos.0 -
It does look like a warm air heating system, or the remains of one! Any vents in other rooms? Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0

The first one is definitely a warm air central heating system, as per the house I grew up in. It has been superceeded by the boiler and radiator system you now have. It shoukd have all been disconnected, but worth getting someone in to confirm. It can be removed but They can contain asbestos lagging, so get this checked.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
