Private Parking Companies trawl through threads for information. Therefore you need to edit your opening post to remove details of your POPLA Code - urgently!

You need to remove that POPLA code as the parking company can identify you through it, but as far as I can see, your POPLA window for appeal has expired. Do check for yourself here:

You can look forward to the probability of county court papers in the near future, so do plenty of research on this forum and PePiPoo on 'ParkingEye court' or 'ParkingEye defence', to prepare yourself in anticipation.

Have you read the newbies FAQ sticky? That gives you far more guidance than any regular can regurgitate here (even if we had the time). Please familiarise yourself with your (now) limited options. This isn't to say you should pay the charge, but you need to know exactly what it us you are dealing with.

It may not help, but unless you try you won't know - have you complained to the golf club, who, from recollection, are the landholders at Tower Road?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Day 237:

The POPLA code MIGHT still work until maybe tomorrow...we need the OP back to remove that POPLA code from here and to use it tonight or tomorrow, if it still works...it is close. Certainly past 28 days - but they do work longer by a few days.

This is URGENT. The code needs trying by this OP tonight, unless he means he has already used it and lost at POPLA already?

If he has not appealed to POPLA and the code is still working, here is a Tower Road POPLA appeal where the driver didn't actually stay/park (like here):

Just needs an extra point about BPA Grace Periods not being considered, bearing in mind that 10 minutes at least, is mandatory just for the time to pack up and leave a car park...so just TWO minutes to arrive, find a space, park, get the kids out & walk over to read signs in the rain then decide to leave, is inadequate and does not allow for the two Grace Periods in the BPA CoP.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just to say I and others have, in the past, written to the Manager of Newquay Golf Club requesting him to get PE parking charges rescinded, but have never even been given the courtesy of a reply. Nevertheless, it is still worth as many people as possible continuing to write to him so that , hopefully, they will get fed-up and kick PE out.

  • I once got chased out of the car park for taking pics of the signs. I suspect they aren't really up fo helping the motorist !
