                    Hi Everyone,
I have been made redundant from my current employer, leaving at the end of this month and I am starting to go contracting.
I have been approached by the consultancy firm, which is the preferred supplier of resource to my employer to join them on a fixed contract. In this fixed contract, I would be placed at my current employer as a consultant to fulfil a different role to my current role (cover maternity leave).
Would this have any tax implications to my redundancy and could this affect my IR35 status?
Please help, as this is very difficult to find an answer for!

people have done this a lot at my current employer (a Bank) however it was having a negative impact on staff morale so a 2 year rule was put in place to prevent any kind of re-engagement within 2 years,
Is it allowed - check your contract or employers policies.
Cant comment on tax - seems a grey area, but a useful thread here...
