Question for EO-On rep..

Hi what has happened to your Standard tarrif? Going on line to my account to check on the best deal available from you shows only 2 fixed rate deals.

In view of the complaints received about your new customer only offering are you in the process of revising your Tarrifs?

    EON are showing 8 fixed tariffs and 2 variable with UKpower.co uk. The variable are the standard tariffs, that is they are dreadful !.. If you select " pay on receipt of the bill " it should bring them up if you want to check with a comp site.

    Mine is showing energy plan plus the 2 fixed deals. Silly prices though. Cheapest is 26% more than I am currently paying and energy plan is only £17 dearer than the cheapest. Looks like they want to go the same way as insurance companies, screw over or lose old customers every year and pick up new ones with tasty deals.

    To be honest, I don't know. I wasn't in yesterday so have only just seen this myself. Have asked our IT guys. Could be a technical issue? I'll let you know more once they've had a chance to investigate and come back to me.

  • Neither does your "standard" tariff, it's now disappeared off your website.

    There are only two tariffs available now, E.ON Energy Fixed 1 Year v20 and E.ON Energy Fixed 2 Year v9.


    Does this mean there will be a new tariff(s) available next week or are you updating your standard tariff?

    I've just logged into my e-on online account and the standard tariff offering has disappeared.

    Thought I'd confirm, my earlier speculation was right. A technical fault has been identified by our IT guys. You're right fredandwilma, it's being fixed at the moment and, to do this, we've had to take down that particular part of our website. Don't have a time frame yet for when it'll be back up but will let you know more when I do.

  • Morning All. Quick update about our website.

    Our IT team identified the problem and put in a fix late yesterday. It needed an overnight refresh to fully take effect and during this time the tariff page was switched off.

    This morning, after the refresh, we'll check the fix has worked. The tariff page will continue to be off until we're happy all is okay and the tool can be used properly. Other website services can still be used.

    I'll keep an eye on what's happening and let you know as soon as I've more information.

  • Hello All. Me again. Just heard, the fix and overnight refresh I mentioned above didn't work. Our IT team are continuing to work on this and I'll let you know what's happening when I've more information.

    In the meantime, the tariff page will stay down but other website services will continue as before.

  • Another update everyone. The tariff page on our website is back. A new fix has been put in place and this one has worked. All three credit tariffs including the standard Energy Plan are now displayed.
