New House, New Car

I have recently bought a new house, mortgage was accepted and i've paid the deposit.

I am now just waiting for the house to be built.

I have also just applied to lease a car. Which got accepted.

Should i cancel the car until i actually move in to the house?

Will this affect the mortgage? Can they do a final check and say no to the mortgage?

Don't apply for or take ANY more credit until you're in the house.

They can run final checks and will probably be less than happy to see your commitments are not as you originally told them.

Hopefully the one search won't have too much of an impact.

As zx81 said, it's probably wise to not take any more credit just yet.
Although, it is highly doubtful that your mortgage company will do any more credit checks as your application with them is now finished and you are officially a customer with them.
How long will you be waiting for the house?
Can you last that long without the car?

The search will be on my file, but i've told them to hold off on the delivery of the car until i've moved in, so that the finance doesn't go on my file until delivery.

Hopefully that search hasn't shafted me.
