God i'm so confused... I've got you saying do IAS, I've got another saying DO NOT do IAS....
But this IS covered in the NEWBIES thread, I even cover the fact that people have different opinions on IAS. Most here say DO NOT try. The reasons are covered in post #3 of the NEWBIES thread; it's there at the top for a reason.
A good summary! DP and I disagree on IAS but we still fight PPCs alongside each other here. People can decide what feels right for them. NOT paying a PPC though!ratechaser wrote: »'To IAS or not to IAS' is a common debate between m'learned experts on this forum (I'm not one of them, just an avid observer since my own PCN issue a few months back).
Basically it goes a bit like this - The Deep takes the view that IAS appeals are so flawed in their reasoning, that it actually helps your case if it ever gets to a real court; in that you can produce their nonsensical rejection as evidence of this whole thing being a scam, but also of your willingness to engage in the 'process'
Whereas Coupon Mad and others take the view that it's a waste of energy as its not a fair appeal process, and losing at IPC will make a lot of people give in and pay the scammers because it creates the illusion that they have had a fair hearing.
(Hope I've not misrepresented you too much!)
I'm staying on the fence myself!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
