[England] PCM & Trace Debt Recovery - too late to appeal

Hello everyone!

I've got 3 tickets from Parking Control Management UK Ltd (pcm). I've decided not to pay them as I think it's not fair.Unfortunately, at the time of my research regarding ignoring those letters, I found an advice in older threads saying to ignore them. Looking at it it now I shouldn't ignore them.

Now it's too late to appeal and I've received my first letters from Trace Debt Recovery UK Ltd. The deadline to respond to them is tomorrow. What do you guys think that I should do? As I've did not make any contact with either parties before.

Please see attached scans of the ticket and the letter that I've received.

Debt recovery idiots are the last people to bother about, they just barrage you with silly bullying letters but can't do anything.
You should have appealed when you had the chance, now it's a waiting game to see if they try a court claim.

But you would have known all this had you looked around this forum first.

Thank you for your reply fisherjim. Do you know if all this will also affect my credit score?

Seems like new kids on the block hoping to make some cash from threatening people. Have only been going 6 months. Wonder if they will last another 6?

Nope that's what "can't do anything means".

You would have to be taken to court by the PPC or landowner, lose, and refuse to pay before this could affect anthing and debt recovery idiots cant do that anyway.

I guess I have nothing to worry about then. The landowner is my landlord.

Thank you all for your help.

I did actually, but he refused to do so as he said PCM is only doing their job but actually I've got these tickets only because my landlord's co-worker took the !!!! with issuing my car park permit which I've got now after all this drama.

you may have to suggest to the landlord , that the co-worker may be required in court , if it gets that far , you are charged with failing to display a valid permit , the co-worker was responsible for this action

    Hi all,

After nearly 2 months I've received today a letter from Gladstones Solicitors. I guess I should probably get in touch with them right? Can I please ask you for advice on how to deal with them?
