What to do with cous cous?

Hi, I have about 250g - 300g of dried cous cous hanging about which I am loathed to throw out. Thing is, as much as I have tried it, except for the odd whim when I might buy a deli tub - I just don't really like it - its a bit too much like eating the bottom of a budgie cage :rotfl:
Are there any recipes that I can use it to bulk out but note notice the fact its in there - like bulking out meat recipes with lentils?
TIA

Perhaps you need to weigh your cous cous down with a dressing? You can use it to coat things with:

Eating it does feel like you drew the short straw.0

That cous cous fake cake sounds disgusting
Bottom of the bird cage with added lemon and no sugar!
Mind you I love it in its Lidl morrocan style deli garb. I wish I could make that.0 -
Couscous is so easy!
Accept that it's not going to taste great until you do stuff with it, like pasta. If you're desperate, even mixing in a spoonful of oil from a jar of sundried tomatoes can make it taste nice.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I wouldn't eat cous cous cold, it's meant to be eaten hot with something like tagine, just as you'd eat rice with curry. In both cases there's normally plenty of liquid to make the starch more interesting.0

I often make a big batch of couscous and roast some veg in olive oil for work lunches for the week.
Or I do a salad with various veg, cucumber, tomatoes, onions and make it with some lemon juice added to the water and when it's done mix through some fresh coriander. Delish!
Personally I think it's really nice, versatile and easy particularly for packed lunchesDF as at 30/12/16

I must be in the minority..i love cous cous!
I often make it, cool it down and add to a big salad.
Or serve it warm with roasted veggies, or instead of rice with a curry.0
