Birmingham Constitution Hill Area to Edgbaston

Hi All
I need to attend an event in the Constitution Hill area of Birmingham. I have researched hotels in the city centre and cannot afford any of those. Only things coming up in budget (£45-55 per night) are in the Edgbaston Area. (Hagley Road?)
Is this far out from Constitution Hill? Can I catch a bus quite easily to & from?
I can travel back to my home area from either New Street, or Moor Street so ideally i wanted something central, but no chance. can anyone advise me please. I would also consider B&B's
Thank you

Hagley Road isn't massively convenient for it, but there's worse.
Try Trivago, threw up Bloc Birmingham for under £60 for instance, clean and compact 3* and a 5 minute walk0 -
There are frequent bus from hagley road to Colmore road.
Then there will be 15 min walk.
Check website like trivago/ hotels.com/ hotelscombined0 -
Depends what date you want of course, but using a random date:
Booking.com is also throwing up the following at £55 or under,
in or near centre:
NiteNite £50 near New St station. Windowless box. Think Bloc looks nicer.
Campanile Hotel near Aston Locks
Copthorne Hotel. Massive 71% reduction for the date I looked, so £53 (non refundable rate, more for refundable).0
