The FD regular saver funds gets transferred into a savings account in your own name, if you have one, if not they will open a savings account for you, current rates are 0.05% so yes it will be at a paltry rate on expiry but nothing stopping you opening a new regular saver, as soon as its been transferred, and no longer shows as a regular saver.

I did exactly this on the 21st as soon as it transferred I opened a new regular saver at 6%, I am sure in a years time the rate wont be this, so got in before it changes, like many of the others have done.

I think you get a time limit to join them and leave them if you're unhappy. I think it's six months but I'm not too sure. If you deposited the initial £1000 in the first month or so and was awarded the £100, and you're within the leaving period, then try it
