Dropped Kerb

i'm looking into getting the dropped kerb outside my house extended to the full width of my house so i can park both my cars on my drive. The path outside my house matches my current drive, but rises by an inch where the path levels out. this means when i get my drive done the path (the part i want dropped) will sit about an inch above my drive. Will the council adjust the new dropped kerb path to suit my new drive?

Cheers

    Yes and no.

The council will match the height of the pavement to align with your drive. They do nothing over your boundary.

1 inch can be traversed by a slug so no issues methinks?
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

True, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that the council have some health and safety requirement forbidding a step between a landowners property and their footpath.
They may well justify this by saying that although it's only an inch, it's enough to cause someone to slip if they were walking along the footpath and their foot went over the 1" step.

If it's similar to when I had my dropped kerb extended all the council contractors did was put in a small slope. I was lucky as the council were renewing all our footpaths and resurfacing our road so nil charge.
