Depends on the features, the free version is free but doesn't support on access (real-time) scanning, the paid pro version does.

I think I prefer the free version. Running real-time scans and update-checks is only going to slow the PC down. :-/

The free version only runs when you run it, when you suspect you have a problem, the paid for version works all the time and protects you against malware that anti-virus programs do not.

Malwarebytes is excellent, I would recommend the premium real time version, it will stop many more nasties than anti-virus does on its own.

Don't know perhaps you could let us know and if we see a message asking for help from you with a BSOD problem then the answer is no. Having too many security solutions can cause more problems than they intend to solve.

There is no substitute for proper backups to an external HDD.

MWB causes no conflicts with any other AV's. The Premium version, once paid for, is for life: at least, mine is. It runs in the background and works in a totally different way to AV and Internet security programes.

So the infection can be safely carried over to the backup. Nice.

MBAM Premium runs fine with Shadow Defender although I no longer use it as in it seems to have "gone off the boil" lately.
