PPI/ proof of probate?

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could advise me, Santander have agree to uphold my complaint and repay the PPi on a loan I took out with my husband several years ago. The PPI was to cover my husbands life, my husband sadly dead a couple of years ago after the loan was paid off. Santander have stated that I have to send them a death certificate and a copy of proof of probate, to prove that I'm the sole beneficiary of his estate. I have no problem providing them with a death certificate but I don't have a copy of the probate. Where can I get it from? I have already checked the Gov web site and it is not on there. I think it was sent to a solicitor. Will they still hold it?
