Thanking posters - do we all do it???

I thank pretty much every competition post that I open (and replies up to that point), but I have gone back before to look at a competition (to check an answer / add more info / while searching to see if it's a dupe etc.) and noticed that I haven't thanked it even though it has a green tick - this is probably because, I've thanked, then backed up the tab or just tapped it too quickly and moved on not realising it hasn't confirmed etc. I use an iPad, so if I haven't thanked something that I meant to then it's usually just a technical error rather than me being impolite!
I assume the same happens for other people on occasion.
I often view a competition lots of times (while searching for dupes or searching before posting a competition I've found etc.), so am adding views, while only adding one thanks.0 -
Nope. So many other forums manage perfectly well without this feature. If I could delete the 'thanks' area from my profile I would.0

Yes, because my parents brought me up to say thank you when someone has been kind.0

I always tick the green button and the thanks button to the person who posted, I try and give thanks to people who have answered the question or given the rules etc; but I must admit I don't do that all the time0

I thank the contributor if I enter a competition. I usually thank those who provide answers. Occasionally I'll thank someone for adding extra useful information such as ,'collect prize from outer Mongolia ', 'jumper will only fit waif-like super model', 'survey about how much toilet paper you use' or 'owners of newts with shingles will be disqualified.'Wins since June 2016:
Renshaw icing bundle, Finding Dory Game, kid's book, Vitamin D supplement, Zombie book, Gluten-free hamper, £50 Bon Marche voucher, £100 Morrisons voucher, Friendship book, £3 worth of Babybel cheese, craft fair tickets, more craft tickets, chess book Lavender toiletries, tickets to concert and pack of wool.

I really hate that one so unfair.Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.
Virtuous action, now, at this very moment.
(Wisdom, Courage, Self-control, Justice)
Willing acceptance - now, at this very moment - of what you can’t change0 -
I thank whether I enter or not, just if I've looked at the postproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

To thank or not to thank that is the question. I must admit I do not thank every post and for some competitions if I have already entered it through another route I would not open it just to thank the poster. I felt bad I wasn't thanking some posters for twitter comps as I never enter those just skip them. There are some posters I would not thank if the life of my newt depended on it as I know they are not worthy of tea with Martin.
Wow amazing how you know some posters are not worthy of anything considering you have probably never met a single one of them and maybe those posters would not want tea with Martin anyway. Bet they would be losing loads of sleep if they knew you were not thanking them. I'm sure you'd still enter and take the prize if you won from the competition they so kindly took the time to post for you though.0 -
