PPI claim on 8 year old defaulted credit card.

    Yes, I already said that a couple of times....

    And sometimes, debt happens due to circumstances beyond our control, so I'm not getting on my moral high horse to castigate someone who sounds genuine....

    Besides, the PPI didn't act as it should have done for someone who was self-employed, so bugg*r the bank......

    Customer not following procedures for claiming on the PPI perhaps? Depends if the PPI conditions involved the onerous conditions the FOS doesn't like or not.
