Don't worry about it, your debt is statute barred now.
But they can still offset any PPI refund against unpaid debts if they still "own" the debt. Plus borrowing money, not paying it back and trying to ask for a refund of money not paid in the first place, well.....Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Yes, I already said that a couple of times....
And sometimes, debt happens due to circumstances beyond our control, so I'm not getting on my moral high horse to castigate someone who sounds genuine....
Besides, the PPI didn't act as it should have done for someone who was self-employed, so bugg*r the bank......Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

Customer not following procedures for claiming on the PPI perhaps? Depends if the PPI conditions involved the onerous conditions the FOS doesn't like or not.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
