Just a moan about being asked to "tag" ...

I've noticed that an increasing number of companies/comp runners are making "tagging" a requirement to enter comps. One that comes to mind is the regular Wallis one, who've just started asking for this.
Must admit, I don't enter a lot of these as I don't want to bother others (unless it's a great prize
).
Does it put you off entering? Do compers not mind being tagged on the whole?

Yes, it does! I never enter those competitions and find them tedious. It was bad enough looking for things that weren't out of stock on Wallis so it's no big loss
I've seen more companies ask for it, but it's usually only on the Wednesday/Friday comps i.e. small prizes.

I don't usually enter any competition that asks me to tag, though if it was something I knew a friend would be okay about, I might- but it would probably only be once a year.
Rarely enter comps on Facebook, and don't do those on Twitter either.0 -
Don't tag and wouldn't know how to anyway. The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.0

Tagging is anti social and rude. Avoid competitions that require you to do this.
If somebody tagged me so they could win a Pile O !!!!!! I'd unfriend them, then tell everybody else they were annoying and pointless and suggest they do the same as tagging (without proper cause/reason) is a blot on society.0 -
I hate this, especially on Twitter where I have no actual friends... might start tagging a random celebrity or something. I have a couple of people on facebook who enter comps, but I feel rude tagging people, I tend to not do these or alternate between my 3 best friends who will love/just ignore me no matter what.Make £10 per day-

It is against facebook T&C's for a company to ask you to tag - if they break this rule then what other rules are the company breaking? - It doesn't give you much trust in a company that doesn't abide by rules0

I have comp friends who i use as tags and they me x0

I actually prefer this method on TW and Insta as it means the company actually see the entry and get notified. Have a half dozen like minded compers and we all tag each other, no problem.total wins 2013 £5500 2014 £7500 2015 £23,900 2016 £10,650 2017 £13,040 2018 £10,620 2019 £10,115 2020 £3970.00

Same, although I don't "tag" there are app ones where an invite gets an extra go on some of the instants - for me that's nearly all FB is there for - I only opened FB and TW accounts in the first place because you could get extra spud shillings from McCains that could be traded for amazon vouchers.0 -
I hate being tagged for crappy litlte prizes - I just ignore them!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0
