Ryanair refund for checked baggage error

Hi
Yesterday I booked flights for my family of four direct on the Ryanair website.
Just before completing check out I added 2 checked bags for the outbound journey and 2 checked bags for the inbound journey.
I then pressed confirm booking and processed the payment.
Shortly afterwards as I double checking the booking and it said I had a total of 8 checked bags. I had in error booked 2 checked bags each for myself and my husband outbound then it automatically did the same for the inbound journey.
I immediately contacted Ryanair and after 2 pop up chats online was told that basically it was tough! I could not reduce the baggage by 2 items each way. I checked their website and it says that you have a 24 hours period of grace to make any minor changes to the booking. I naturally assumed I could amend the baggage quantity.
I rang customer service to be told no I couldn't 'downgrade' my booking as Ryanair do not give refunds! I asked to speak to a supervisor who called me back approximately 30 minutes later. They repeated the same standard message, no refunds! I asked then to speak to a Manager and the supervisor hung up!
Outraged I called back and spoke to another operator who told me to complete an online complaint form (which I have). I then asked who I could complain to about Ryanair to be told she has no idea.
So.....my question is do I have any rights to amend my booking/request a refund on the mistake? It totals £104 which isn't a huge amount but its a weekly food shop or a couple of days out with my kids so worthwhile chasing.
Can anyone help?????
Thanks in advance

With Ryan air you can amend a booking but not cancel it so you have no rights to a refund. It is pretty harsh but most of the budget airlines are the same.0

When you saw the final payment did you not realise?0

You could escalate your complaint to Michael O'Leary. Here he is in a pub in Mullingar called Wallace's Bar. He's just downed his 6th pint of Guinness so now's a good time to catch him.You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

Unfortunately not until the payment had gone through at which point it was too late! Lesson learnt, it won't happen again!!0

I'd take a couple of bags of bricks with me just to make sure that they have to use more fuel for the flights.0

You're replying to a post from September 2016, I doubt the OP is going to see your post.0
