Earlier this year, I had a hoarse voice and a few 'sniffles' before a trip to Malaysia, I decided to travel regardless as I thought it was just some minor infection, but things got worse while I was away.
Luckily no medical assistance was needed during my trip, and I went to the doctors on my return and after a few investigations, i was diagnosed with cancer.
Caught early and treated, now I am back to my travels.
The OP was absolutely right not to travel when unwell - you can do that another day when you are feeling better which was certainly a lesson I learnt.
Thankyou dicky. Good advice for anyone, as was the group insurance previously mentioned0 -

I suspect that their insurance will say there was no reason they couldn't have gone unless your illness was life threatening. My policy wouldn't pay out for an early return when my wife's young niece died suddenly.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
