Hi, is this fair?

I live in the NE of England and it's a 4 bed detached house.


Scaffolding both gable ends

Strip off watertabling and set aside for reuse

Supply and fit lead work to wall top

Re-bed existing water tablings

Strip off areas of damaged tiles

Supply and fix damaged areas of felt and laths

Supply and fit pantiles as required

Removed debris from site

Total quote is £3995 plus VAT

The damage doesn't look too bad from ground level, ie I can't see more than a couple of damaged tiles.

We are in the NE also (rural Yorkshire). Detached, two bed bungalow so possibly the same footprint roof wise as a four bed house (the main house is about 10 metres in length).

Entire roof replaced in Spring this year. Full cost for tiles, new felt, new batons, chimney re-pointing, spare tiles, scaffolding, waste removal (and they even swept the path!) was about £,5000.00.
