Not going to happen. Buyer beware is apt because it's true.
Ah ha, but it isn't like this with anything else... sale of goods act and all that.
Houses seem exempt. If the seller has lied, there should be comeback as it's complete mis-selling, mis-advising and mis-direction. Selling a house isn't a magic show - so why so much dis-honesty?

    Consumer Rights Act.

No, the CRA applies in exactly the same way.

I can't comment in that way legally. I'm not qualified so.

But i know tomorrow morning at 7:30 i'll be greeting the gateman in my 4x4 (He's a very pleasant chap) on my way through site.

Within 20 metres i'll have seen something shocking. Whether it be a gully smashed through to lay a water main at less than 400mm cover or joists left hanging in the rain.

If people wish to buy new build fair enough, someone has to! But if you choose to ignore the advice from people like me who work on these sites you're an idiot.

It's pretty telling that my guys spend most of their time shaking their heads when driving through site.

Went shopping and read in passing about a Bellway Housing development in Dartford where people are living in tents to queue for when new build houses on the new estate are available. Obviously no sanity checks provided.

I think someone one should paste this petition to their tents.

Sad thing is I bet there are houses for sale around the area by homeowners but these people just want brand new.

Never mind the camping, get this for some shoddy journalism:

Mark Leach is also looking for a two bedroom home to share with fianc! Nicolle Barbercorr 2 Ls.

You can picture the conversation - It's Nicolle with 2 "l"s. Our Lizzie should make the Guardian in no time.

Happens all over. There are people camping to buy overpriced shoddy houses in the same school catchment I've just bought in. My house will be cheaper, bigger, more sturdy and on a plot 4x the size of these. http://m.kirkintilloch-herald.co.uk/news/local-headlines/desperate-house-hunters-camp-out-to-secure-home-in-lenzie-school-area-1-4231269

For people who do not think we need better quality new properties, or people who are thinking of buying a new build properties, and finally people who have purchased new build properties and are having problems please look at these web sites https://www.brand-newhomes (sorry it would not let me put the full address down so the link will not work but it ends .co.uk) and https://www.new-home-blog.co.uk they are full of excellent information and advice.

The person who runs them (who I am not affiliated to in any way) is a retired Site Manager and knows the way the new build property market really works and how people like you and me get fobbed off by the builders and the NHBC when appalling workmanship is discovered. They have also been on TV and radio campaigning for better quality houses and not more houses. Also the info and advice they give is second to none.
