Hi All,

Would really appreciate someones help. I've been cleaning up my credit files and Experian is close to being sorted out so just signed up to Equifax, added the last 3 addresses to set up my profile but cant seem to find the option to add more adresses to cover the last 6 years.

With Experian you can go back 10 years of previous addresses if you like....

Does anyone know how to add previous addresses to your Equifax (online membership) credit file?

Many thanks for any help

kind regards

  • Just to update.....Just spent nearly a hour on the phone to equifax, only to find out that their systems dont allow for more than 3 addresses for your online credit report. So just a heads up.....if anyone signs up to Equifax expecting to see a full 6 years credit history online and you've moved more than 3 times in the last 6 years, you not going to see a true picture of your credit report....so the £14.95 is a waste of money. It's fine if you just want to monitor your current credit agreements etc but to get a full 6 years history, you need to order a postal report.....Have now used both Experian and Equifax...........Experian were great and really helpful, sadly equifax systems seem far behind.

    Sorry...another question!

I've just read that ClearScore show Equifax credit reports...Has anyone used(or is using) ClearScore? If so, do you know if clearscore is limited to the same "3 adresses" that Equifax show on their online credit report or do you get to see what the Lenders see? Was hoping clearscore could give me my complete credit file covering all addresses for full 6years.
    Many thanks

I think you've misunderstood what the initial sign up address are for against the "linked addresses" that will appear on your file.

Sign up address is part of making sure you are you and it's only your report your going to see. It asks loads of info at sign up that only you should know right?
When you look at your report you will see "linked addresses". These are the addresses you were living at when you were making payments on you current and past credit accounts, you'll see 6 years worth (maybe more) there.

Clear score is good means you don't need to pay for equifax report because CC only use equifax. I do find though that Experian tend to show you everything as most lenders report to them only. Just do the free trial thing every few months and cancel once you've seen your report. Then you don't pay anything.
  • Ive never been able to take out the Experian trial again

Many thanks for your reply, appreciate your help.

All sorted now....Equifax explained the issue is connected with known "online" system limitations...so ordered a postal report instead! ; )

    thanks again
