Does Manchester Airport T2 still have free water fountain airside?

  • My last post didn't quite get a definitive Yes there is, hence my Q again - we didn't travel in June, as my eldest son broke his Knee cap, so we rescheduled for tomorrow .... Cheers
  • As far as I am aware there is still one there - why not tweet the airport to ask? and you've left it seriously late to ask!

Why not just buy a bottle of water from boots? a 1.5 litre is under £2.
  • You can ask any bar or cafe for 'tap water' - they will give it to you. If you have issues go to the information desk and they will make sure you get a cup.

    Nice.

Money saving site, advising people to not take the free option....

To be fair, the most money saving option would be not to fly and to stay as far away from airports as possible.

Actually the water from the fountain is warm and has a nasty chemical taste. I'd personally rather spend the £1.50; and to ask less than 24 hours before you fly is not the best idea on a forum.

It is usually out of order as well - if £1.50 is out of one's budget then one might need to re-evluate the need to fly where liquids are restricted.

And as an aside, £1.50 for a good 1.5 or 2 liter bottle airside is cheap when compared to the £2 charge for a 500ml on board an aircraft, so it is very moneysaving, just a matter of perspective.
