Cancelling a contract with property managing agent

Quick questions:

Issuing them notice in writing, - will email suffice?

There are three directors, however, 2 of them are very passive, - whilst I do not see them proactively objecting, they may not be very forthcoming with their support to end the contract either.

I have sent them many communications over the months of the problems that we have been having, my research into other MAs, but not had much response.

If I do not get support from all 3, would this stop the transfer of the contract?

Many thanks for any help

3 months written notice, or immediate by mutual consent.

Yes, there's an email address so that answer's that question, thankyou.

So in regards to the instruction notice to terminate, is it enough to cc the other directors? One of them has said he'll support my decision, the other is not so keen but will go with the majority. To get the latter to do, sign anything has always been notoriously difficult.
  • Ff.... Does the tenancy agreement state notice may be served by email?

    There are three directors,

Your post is a bit unclear.

Three directors of what? Is it three directors of an RTM company?

Is your question about the contract between the RTM company and the Managing Agent? If so, you already seem to know the answer:

Or is your question about whether you as one director out of three has the authority to unilaterally cancel the RTM company's contract with the Managing Agent (without consulting the other directors)?

My interpretation was that the Managing Agency is a company with 3 Directors.

The status/role of the OP is unclear to me.

When giving notice to a business or company you don't have to write to each Director. You write to eiter

    * their place of business, or
    * their registered office, or
    * whatever address is noted on the contract for this purpose

I am one director, of 3, of a company that has the right to manage the property. So we appoint and instruct the managing agent.

I was wondering what "written notice" means - does that mean from one director? Shall I just email the termination email and cc the other two directors? I have informed them of my intention already. There is no other detail on the agreement

Well you cant send an email from 3 people, but im not convinced that emailed notice will suffice.

Why not just write a letter? (have the other directors sign it)
