Will Stamp Duty Changes In Autumn Statement

Just curious of people opinion. I'm currently in the process of buying.

    Yes - all stamp duty will be removed.

    Nothing to suggest any changes afoot, and even if they were I expect they might be for the top of the market, which stamp duty seems to have hit relatively hard, so unless you're spending several million, or even if you're not, I wouldn't suggest making any changes to buying in case some unspecified thing does or doesn't happen.

    He might reduce it. So hold off. If he doesn't, hold off until the main budget, he might change it then. If he doesnt he might change it in the 2017 autumn so maybe wait until then instead.
    If no change in 2017, I suggest Waiting until 2020, it could change then.

    No, wait until 2021 as by then the post Brexit UK will be broke, and so desperate for Russian roubles that it will eliminate SDLT for any foreign buyer, subject to the caveat that a UK national will not pay SDLT at all so there is a level playing field between a UK and a non UK buyer
