Find either the original maker or someone else who can supply you with 2 slats in the correct material and colour. My headers have the manufacturer's name on them, have you looked to make sure it's not on yours? Have you checked back though your bank statements / credit card bills?
I checked but there is no name on the original header. They were bought a few years back and I don't have credit card bills going back that far. I've changed credit cards several times (offer tart!) so I couldn't even guess which card they were bought on.Here I go again on my own....0 -
if the mechanism is anything like the Argos ones, you can remove slat hangers from the header rail with a bit of fiddling, first remove one end and slide them out.0

I've had another look at it today and compared it to the original blind rail.
They are both centre split ones, so when you pull back the blinds you get even bunches of slats on either side of the window.
On both rails, the hooks in the centre are 77mm apart and the slats are 89mm so you get a slight overlap when they are closed.
On the old blind, the 77mm is a constant distance between the hooks right through the rail.
On the new one, the distance is 77mm in the middle, but then the hooks get closer together towards the ends. The last few are only 50mm apart from each other.
I'm now wondering if I remove the two extra hooks, if the remaining ones would all space out evenly but I'm a bit wary of taking it to pieces, so I need to look into how to do that. Here I go again on my own....0 -
There's a tab at the top of each hanger - it slides through the one following to open, but catches the one following when closing therefore progressively pulling and spacing them equidistant.0
