I have made gingerbread and it's ok but it doesn't seem to taste like the decorated hearts you can buy from the German Christmas markets. The texture of mine is harder too unless it was just over baked. Does anyone have a recipie they wd share for me to try? I want to make my own hearts to decorate if poss.

Do you mean the large quite soft hearts? About an inch thick or so in the middle?

Try this one - in Denmark we call them honeycake hearts
