  • I have just had another letter entitled 'Discount Expired' - not sure what the discount is though..... they are now saying that they are sending my details to the direct collection bailiffs for further action. What do I do with this one?
  • I did send the letter recommended by H087 previously and heard nothing until now.

    Hi LM

This is the second case today that it seems MIL have passed to DCBL. This is unusual given their previous form but in both cases they were sent appropriate responses to their LBA's. It is more than likely that MIL will have recognised the origin of the letter and guessed that you are getting "suitable" advice. That may or may not be relevant given that there are other issues that are fast overtaking MIL and may well be occupying their time.

As far as DCBL are concerned as and when you receive anything from them then you should send them the following:
    DCBL
    Winnington Avenue
    Northwich
    Cheshire
    CW8 4EE

    Dear Sirs

    Re

I have previously made my position amply clear to your client and suggest you refer the matter back to them forthwith. I deny that I owe any debt to you or your client indeed it is my position that no such debt has ever existed and I have no intention of making any payment in respect of it in the absence of a judgment.

Please note that I will not enter into any additional correspondence on the matter and will regard any further contact from you as harassment. No acknowledgement is required.

    Yours Faithfully

My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Don't worry, DCBL can't act as bailiffs in this instance, only 'debt collectors' by sending daft letters. HO87 has nailed the only response needed. No-one will come knocking and you will not be paying anything.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Is it this one (http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=108800&view=findpost&p=1234430)?

I suggest the OP sends the letter in the above link. It has come to light recently that MIL and the PPC that sold them the alleged debt are likely in breach of the Data Protection Act. Therefore you should go on the offensive, turn the tables and make them owe you money.
  • And the letter from DCBL arrived... so have sent the letter advised by H087. Is it worth sending the other letter as well from peppipoo?
  • After sending the letter to DCBL recommended by H087, I have now had another letter from them titled 'Legal Recovery Action'. They say they have recommended to their client the commencement of legal action against me. How can they just keep passing this around?
