Can anyone help with info on installing a wood burner in a static caravan?:think:

Can i ask is the home fibreglass ?? i know someone installed one in a boat and the heat cracked the roof !!!0

no the caravan is a static with wood plywood insulation steel galvanised roof0

You would do best to get advice from a proper wood burning shop that sells and installs woodburners.
But, this is what I would think would be needed. It will need a non combustable hearth underneath it for a certain distance around, it will need to be the regulation thickness. You will need to remove all combustable materials from around the stove and the flue, up to the regulation distance, I would guess that would involve cutting away an area of roof and replacing with sheet steel if the roof has any wood in it. Get a small stove (under 5 kw) and you shouldn't have to worry about air vents, although you should still have a fair supply of air into the caravan.
Thats the main things I can think of, you will need a reasonable amount of space to put it in, they get hot and you don't want to be brushing past it as you walk by.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
