Having had my posting privileges temporarily suspended for a trivial issue nearly six weeks ago and still not restored, I re-registered yesterday using a different email and user name but making so secret of my identity.
I logged in today to see that the new account has also been suspended until 1903, some 113 years ago.

Maybe it was trivial to you but not to them. Re registering is likely to wind them up and I would not be surprised if the 6 weeks becomes a lot longer.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
