Hi all,
I will be doing a fair bit of travelling over the next year and would like to buy a 2in1 tablet (tablet with detachable keyboard) to take with me on my travels. I am not tech-savvy so would appreciate some help choosing the right model.
I want something light and smaller than a regular sized laptop, but not too small (I think 10" screen will be ok).
I will mostly use the internet. I like to watch a lot of vids on Youtube and I like image-rich sites like Pinturest. I download movies as well sometimes, but this is not my priority. I also download music and listen to it through my device. I would like something with a good camera so I can take pics of my art projects, but it's not a deal breaker as I have a digital camera, just would be nice to have one device that does everything.
There seems to be a lot of models on the market, ranging from £100 to £1,000. What differentiates a cheap tablet from an expensive one ? Would really love some suggestions please ! Thanks !

I assume you referring to windows 2 in 1?
Personally won't get an expensive one...0 -
This is the type of thing I am looking at. The spec doesn't say anything about a headphone socket or SD memory card socket ?

Sorry. Ignore that last reply. Yes, I think Windows is best. Here's one that looks decent for the price :

It has both a headphone port and microsd slot:

In terms of what you get for your money, better build quality, better screens, higher performance and more storage - at the upper end of the market. One of the main choices you have is in a mobile orientated operating system with IOS/Android or to go with a Windows powered system. The mobile systems generally work better as touch only devices while the Windows powered devices give a wider range of functionality. If you've any familiarity with these operating systems you'll probably have a good idea whether IOS/Android is enough for you or not.
I have a few 2 in 1's, the problem I find with them is that Windows does not work well as a touch only system (Windows 8.1 was better but Windows 10 dumped most of the improved touch parts) while Android isn't great when docked with a keyboard.

If you are looking for a windows based solution then perhaps consider this as it has a more modern Z8500 CPU and 64gb storage.
