Looking for quick advice re: one day driving test insurance. I have exam tomorrow and I was planning to pass it on my brother's car. I have got a quote saved for it online, so thought i'd purchase it tonight. But due to change of plans, he has gone oversees with the car and I have only option to pass on my dad's car which has value over £20k and I can't find a company that would insure it!
Does anyone know a company that would insure such car for 1 day? Any advice appreciated - thank you!!!

Can you get added to your dad's insurance?
ps I admire your confidence.0 -
That would skyrocket his annual insurance fee...
I'm looking for stand-alone product that would't interfere current policy....
Thanks for the reply!0 -
Get your dad to find out how much it would cost to add you for the day - phone them up. Probably about a tenner I'd expect0

Remember you need learner insurance.
Have you tried Marmalade - they seem to go up to £30k0 -
Unless he can get a a new certificate of insurance from his insurer online with the OPs name on then the tester wont put a single foot into the car.0

Saw their website, but they offer 30 days min for 80 quid! But I will check if they let me through with the quote, better than nothing...0

Too late today to call, and they won't insure with same day start... But thanks!0

Have you tried renting a dual control car for a few hours. Should have insurance included.
