how to get to nerja?

have finally found the right property, in the right resort at the right price but now need to get to nerja from malaga airport and back 28/10- 03/10 have tried a2b but £140 seems pretty steep. any suggestions and should i look at flying to murcia?

also if there are any codes for unpackagedholidays please point me in the right direction

If you reach Malaga early in the day there are buses. But in the evening you will need a taxi, and they are horribly expensive.

    Would care hire be worthwhile?

Hi, I'd hire a car - you;ll need it to explore the surroundings. I've been to the Costa Tropical and its lovely. Enjoy your hols.

  • Dont know how to advise you to get there, we went on a coach trip from Malaga, I just wanted to tell you what a beautiful place it is, small but lovely. You must go into the caves and onto the eye in the med (I think thats what they call it) its where a promenade has been built overlooking the med, there is a restaurant underneath it. Beautiful place!

Nerja is a long way out - last time I went, I hired a car for about the same price as transfers (think the bus was a good couple of hours and needs a change in Malaga)
    2. we got a bus from a company called asthina graelles (possibly not spelt right). it was a very reasonable price.while you are in Nerja- go to Frigliana for a day trip - you can get a local bus which only costs a few euros.

excellent ideas- for some reason hadnt thought about car hire but it is by far the most sensible as its me and a 3yr old. had everything planned but my half term is later than everyone elses so needed weigh up going where i want ie spanish, traditional with needs of child. so car makes even more sense to visit facilities accross the region.

      Thanks

I usually get the bus to Malaga, 1e, and then to Nerja, about 4e.

Keep your eye on your luggage when in Malaga.
