Be very careful when choosing this company, their policy is extremely misleading and their advisors do no not make clear various issues.
1) Courtesy Car Cover: only if you pay extra do you get a car if yours is a total loss.
2) New for Old: 3 criteria for which they will not do like for like...even though there is an OR between each one, Saga will try to not pay you out.
3) Offer is below book price, for example
I paid half of my car, finance owed is half = £10500
Saga after paying finance leave me with £800 and no car!
My car is under 2years old and crash is more and more looking like an Insurance scam.
Car was not declared total loss for 5 days but we were not eligible for replacement/courtesy as it was total loss, and had to pay for our own car hire.
The whole experience has been dreadful, I was cut out of car with suspected spinal and leg injuries, fortunately bad bruising and trauma. I am suffering flash backs. Saga have been dreadful to deal with and as a specific for over 50's and 5* (joke) they have made me feel even more vulnerable than ever. Needless to say the driver who drove into us at speed was on a main road and unhurt as his damage was to passenger wing and passenger airbag only inflated...he is seeking injury payment. I will not bother with a car again a you cannot trust Insurance companies they are as bad as insurance scammers.
I feel betrayed, disappointed and dismayed at the way we have been treated but thankful we are alive/

Would never use saga after the mess they made of OH's renewal.

After having been told by them renewal had been made, then found out it was not done,so he had been driving around the weekend with no insurance. They then re-quoted at a much higher premium so he arranged cover elsewhere then they renewed the policy so he had two policies in place!

Then a big pain getting them to cancel their policy and refund the premium.

    Never again.

None of this is applicable to the Credit Card Board - Surely the PVW or Insurance boards are much more suitable?
