British Gas - in credit

I have just submitted my meter readings and apparently I am £125.08 in credit. Does this mean they owe me this or I owe them this?

'credit' means that you have paid in more money than the cost of the power you have used.

Keep in mind that it is Summer, so credit at this time may well be used up by your higher consumption in Winter

Suppliers work an 'Accounting Year' which is not Jan to December, and depends on when you joined them - If you are in credit at the end of this year the better suppliers will return the money to your bank

Thanks for that. I was just hoping it was not the other way around!

Just trying to decide whether to switch as I got an e-mail from the Cheap Energy Club.
