PIP and time away (holidays etc)

Options
Hi

can someone clarify to me, if you are going on holiday and you are on PIP (not JSA/ESA etc), do you have to inform DWP that you are going on holiday?

I only ask as what happens if they send you an assessment letter and you are not around to receive the letter?

thanks

You only need to inform them if you are leaving the country for longer than four weeks. Saying that, I went away for two weeks and came back to three letters from DWP. The other two was because I hadn't responded to the first. When I rang the number, the person I spoke to was really rude and said I wasn't allowed to go on holiday without informing them first. I asked to speak to a supervisor who told me that it was only if you left the country for longer than a month.
