I can see the anger & disgust when sausage, egg & chips wasn't on the Tapas menu. Or worse, you forgot your Union Jack shorts.

I have downloaded a VPN app where I can fool my tablet to think it's in the UK.

Can do this at home if you wanted the U.S. Netflix etc.

I was in Budapest recently and ended up watching some very bad B-movies and sci-fi things - very bad indeed. The adverts were amusing though - Hungarians seem to be obsessed with migraines and other health issues, so it was herbal this and medical that.

Not as entertaining as the street noise though - I inadvertently booked an apartment for us above a brothel in a fairly Bohemian district, so we spent a lot of time on the balcony people-watching.

  • If the OP has only <20mins to kill> would they want <comedy, drama, documentary etc> within that timeframe? I'd be happy hearing news before heading out rather than have to <catch up> with it later.
  • I never have time to even turn the TV on when I'm on holiday! I can't understand why anyone would! Especially if you are abroad, why on earth would you want to watch all that left wing socialist, politically correct and biased programming from the BBC? I enjoy leaving it behind.

For me on holiday I'm either out sight seeing, in a bar, in the room sleeping or using the room for 'bedroom functions'
