Mansfield 2/3 year bond

Anyone saving with Mansfield Building Society - whose regular saver rate (variable) is poor at just 5.40% - might like to consider their new bond holding of just £500 minimum instead, which pays 6.35% (launched 10/09/07)

There's a 7% bond with Standard Life Bank, for 6 months. Not long I know, but if rates are likely to rise on bonds then you're not comitted for too long before being able to shift.
