Hi, I am waiting for some defaults since 2013 to go off my noddle report by British Gas. They've told me now they'll be off within 48 hours. Will i see this change as soon as its done or will i have to wait until my next report is generated . I'm applying for a morgage and need them gone asap just wondering how it works? thanks

If you mean that the defaults are incorrect and British Gas have agreed, in writing, to remove them, then the credit file would normally be updated within 1 calendar month. However, if you have written confirmation that it will be done within 48hours, it could show as quickly as that.

(However, if the defaults are correct they will remain on your file for 6 years from the date of default).
