This all looks great. Some of you obviously like washing up a lot more than me :')
How early do you guys usually plan the next week's menu? Do you ask your families to chip in with ideas?
I plan the morning I go shopping, I go through the catalogues and work my menu around the specialsLove people use things. The opposite never works.0 -

How often do you guys find you go off track when you make a meal plan? I've had 2 days this week when I've had to work late and ended up not following it properly. I need to be more realistic I think.May Grocery Challenge (30/04/18-30/05/18)

When I was working full time, I would plan more fluidly, ie mince one night, chicken another, throw a couple of easy meals in there like jacket spud beans and cheese, or Crusty Bread and soup.
Don't worry too much if you go 'off plan' - this time of year I found it easier, I would chop a load of veg on a Sunday ready to be thrown in the slow cooker with whatever meat I was making, so maybe beef stew, or chilli, Spanish chicken etc - anything to stop me from ordering in
Like any new way of life it's about getting into a routine - you'll get there X
If you make a curry, chilli etc make enough for a couple of freezer portions, that way you have something to grab when you come home too tired to think - I always have a couple of micro rice in the cupboard for standby meals.Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

OH doesn't care - at all. Honestly. As long as it's food, he'll eat it.
Babies are babies, so they try to be opinionated...
I meal plan Saturday night/Sunday morning.
Get a few things out of the freezer to plan around (a chicken or some mince perhaps) then go to the market on Sunday for fruit and veg, followed by a quick whizz 'round the shops if there's anything extra needed (milk mostly).
I tend to stock the freezer seasonally - joints and whole poultry tend to be cheap right after easter and christmas, sausages/ burgers/ drumsticks towards the end of the summer (now-ish), mince gets rock bottom before christmas.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0
