Delinquent Account?

Hi all,
Can someone please advise what a delinquent account is, and how long it will stay on my credit file?
I have a couple of defaults but have now noticed a delinquent account as well. It doesn't show a delinquent date, like my defaulted accounts do, so how do I know when it will drop off?
Is the effect on my credit file as bad/worse than a default?
Thanks!

"Authorized Users and Delinquency
If you’re an authorized user on a delinquent account, the account could have a negative impact on your credit profile unless you contact the credit card company and request to have your name taken off the account."

Thank you but I think that this is if you're an authorised user on somebody else's account - unless I'm reading it wrong?
In my case, the debt is mine and I am still paying it off as part of a DMP.0
