Rejected.

Evening all, I'll try and keep this as short as possible.

Today I received my letter back my appeal back from Wright hassall, and of course it was rejected.

I firmly plan on leaving this with no response until the "letter before action".

As I don't want to be lumbered with any additional court costs what's the latest I can leave it before caving. for example, if I receive a letter before action is it too late to phone them and pay the original fee without additional costs.

I would love to fight further but financially I can't afford a loss.

Many thanks,
R

    - Never phone them.

    - No you can't pay the original PCN sum unless you pay up NOW after losing at POPLA/WHOPLA (you do not have to). Your best deal would be - if it is a litigious firm - to defend it in court because even if a case is lost at small claims, you'd pay LESS than might be pursued in a typical LBCCC, with no effect on your credit rating.

I would love to fight further but financially I can't afford a loss.
    Why?

A typical £100 PCN if lost at small claims costs about £175 altogether with no repercussions, no black mark on credit rating if you lost and then paid in time after a judgment. No CCJ remains on the register at all, nothing.

    And you might win.

And they might not ever try court. The VAST majority of cases never go there.

    Which PPC?

  • Thankyou for your quick reply. I'll read through it again shortly as just having dinners.

The Ppc is ethical parking and rejection is from WH

HOLD ON ..... if you have been reading this forum carefully, you will note who Wright Hassall are and what they have been doing.

    Read the thread Ispa

You are one the victims of Wright Hassall and a decision not made by an official adjudicator. They are just a debt collector solicitor to whom the BPA appointed to oversee nearly 4000 stayed cases.
They refer to themselves as POPLA when in reality they reject appeals as they have done with you.

Wright Hassall ARE currently under report to the SRA .. Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Every now and then, Wright Hassall agree with an appeal and this they hope shows faith ...... it does not, the majority are rejected.

I would suggest that you hang on until we know what the BPA want to do about WRIGHT HASSALL or indeed themselves

Read these. Hopefully I don't need to explain.

You could of course leave a nice TripAdvisor review on his B&B Guesthouse to let potential customers know of his real 'customer focus'.

I also understand he, unsuccessfully, stood for Parliament. A potential Lib Dem MP, but more than happy to cane a member of the public for breaching his concocted and convoluted parking rules designed to be broken to line his own pockets.
