Won DLA appeal - Does the money get backdated?

Today I had an appeal for DLA at 11:40 this morning but the appeals service phoned up at half 9 to say that the tribunal has decided I should get lower mobility which is what I appealed for.

The question is do I get the mobility rate from today or when I first awarded DLA? Will the money be backdated or not?

I don't know what happens now as I didn't ask because I've got a cold and had a bad night last night.

Could anyone help please?

Thanks!
Waddle you do eh?

When we won it was backdated to the date of our original application.

Also the money went into our bank account before we recieved the letter telling us about the award.
