It certainly seems that way at the moment in the SSG house SA!:D. Take today's tasks for example:
Today both Cleaning and Organising were in the living room. The cleaning was Blinds and Curtains. You were supposed to take your blind down and wash it in the bath or shower. I wouldn't have done that tonight anyway as I had trouble in the trains and didn't get in till gone 8.00pm! BUT they don't really need washing anyway so just cleaned them with fluffy Pledge Brush like I always do! Re curtains -don't have them!:D
Organising was"Purging Subscriptions" - which for me meant going through the magazine rack. Sorted a few catalogues out and binned them.
Maintenance was cleaning out the bath or shower (as author assumes you cleaned the blind in there) - I cleaned it anyway!:)
Today was meant to be a NSD but fell at the first post when I got off the train this morning as the Children In Need collectors were out in force! Put £1 in the collecting bucket so no NSD! Ended up buying an Xmas pressie for DD as well at lunchtime. Bought her a book in Daunts bookshop which I thought she would like - "Inside Vogue" it''s a diary by the editor in chief of Vogue describing their 100th anniversary year. Could probably have bought it cheaper online but I do like to support book shops now and again. Always afraid one day they will disappear! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Went and had my pedicure this morning then took stuff I had sorted out last week to the charity shop and dress agency. Dress agency will let me I know in about a week whether they are taking any of the bits I left. Also popped to the greengrocer to get weekly top up shop of fruit and veg and also picked up some eggs and milk for the week.
Then spent all afternoon sorting and cleaning the bookcase and dusting the books I should have done the other day. When I got my kindle a few years ago I gave away my novels. I do have favourite authors that I read again and again so I downloaded their books onto the kindle and do the same now for any new novels I want to read. I still buy hard copies of books, mainly history but I'm really running out of room now!
I ended up with nine books to take to the charity shop and eleven to give back to DD that I had borrowed. After I finished the books I did the:
Rest of Today's Xmas Cleaning Project:
Cleaning Task:
In the living room I dusted ceiling, walls, skirting boards. Wiped down pictures, mirror and photos.
Organising Task: remove items that don't belong to living room - -all okay there.
Maintenance Task:
Bedroom - wiped Ceiling light, window sill and furniture, vacuumed curtains and cushions on bed, changed the sheets today rather than tomorrow and vacuumed carpet.
Phew - after all that I had a shower!:eek:Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Well done on getting the tasks done SSG
Think I might buy that book actually, could do with being a bit more organised on the household front (well on all fronts really but it'll be a start!).
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
Yes give it a go SA. you don't have to do everything in one day - i think with a normal sized house and family plus pets and a full time job it could be a bit hard going to complete some of the days in the allotted time anyway. It definitely gives me a bit of a buzz though!
So yesterday's Cleaning Task was Smudges and Fingerprints on the living room walls. Used my Flash eraser!
Organising was Purge Unwanted Items in Living room, I.e. Throw away broken items and bag up useless and unwanted items for donating. Didn't have any of these apart from the books the other day.
Maintenance was laundry which I do anyway.
Today:
Furniture and Carpet Stains in living room - furniture ok and I have hard floor.
Organising - - launder all your blankets, throws and cushions in living room - have two throws to launder and a cushion cover. Rest of cushion covers to be dry cleaned. Doing one throw tonight and other tomorrow with cushion cover.
Maintenance was Cleaning emphasis on Laundry room (she loves that room!). Wiped washing machine - only job I could do!
Yesterday and today were both NSDs! :T. Went out for some fresh air yesterday - found one of our charity shops were open so took the books down there which saved me having to wait till end of the week to donate. DD stayed last night so I made Beef stew and dumplings and we caught up with "Missing!"
Torrential rain hammering down out there tonight - glad I'm indoors! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Your cleaning list puts me to shame. I can't remember the last time I did a proper clean in the house...
Luckily for me the OH loves cleaning and I wouldn't want to take away any of his enjoyment
I'm also subscribing to your diary this time so I can catch up, forgot to click the notification last time and ended up missing out!1 -
Have ordered the book from Amazon using a Bounts refund voucher so will see how I go. It's your fault if I end up spending all my spare time cleaningI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Hi Alarae and SA :hello:
Alarae - perhaps SA and I can hire your OH for cleaning purposes - he sounds like a little treasure! My cleaning month will soon be over - I will then be putting up the deccies and my nice clean place will be covered in glitter!
Yesterday I finished the living room - Cleaning was wiping skirting boards, dusted everything from high to low, polished ornaments and mirrored/glass surfaces, vacuumed sofa, chairs, and moved furniture to vacuum underneath.
Organising was going through cupboard/cabinet and set things straight in the bathroom. Nothing to do there.
She then let me Off with the Maintenace job!
Today was moving on to the bedroom.
Cleaning was dusting and wiping ceiling light, dusting ceiling, walls, skirting boards. Wiped pictures on walls and polished mirror. Had to cover bed up with sheet - and she was right about that. There was quite a lot of dust! And I thought it wasn't that bad!
Organising was purging the clutter in the bedroom. I haven't got any apart from the Xmas pressies ive been buying waiting to be wrapped!
Maintenance was laundry. But that's been done.
Managed another NSD yesterday. Today was 5:2 day - managed to keep my mind off food in work today by sending off diaries to our clients which took most of the afternoon.
However bought my family/close friends Xmas cards today and got four for three cards with the Clinton's loyalty scheme. Also bought a leather lunch bag online for DD, which is one of the pressies on her list. Plus some M&S pyjamas for sis. So a fruitful day on knocking down some more of the pressies! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Didn't post last night as ended up on phone most of the evening chatting to various people then I had to have my current fix of watching the last episode of "The Crown" which I have found utterly wonderful and compelling! I wonder if Her Maj and Phillip have been watching it - I can just imagine him sitting there and saying crossly "Well I bleedy well didn't DO that!":rotfl:
Anyway yesterday was a NSD. But I did actually spend on my Amex card as one of our clients called to ask me to buy a bottle of booze for my boss for Xmas. I do this for him every year and he sends me a cheque. So I bought a nice bottle of cognac and generated some Cashback on my card as spent £45!
Re the Xmas Cleaning Project:
Yesterday Cleaning Task was Curtains Blinds and Windows in bedroom ( which I left until this morning as I am off work today).
Organising was Bedroom Nightstand which means my two bedside cabinets. I wiped these down and dusted lamps and other bits. Also quickly went through drawers. In the drawers I keep my costume jewellery earrings and bangles, scarves, outdoor gear and DD's bits like spare underwear that she keeps. Sorted through quickly - some earrings to throw away but everything else ok.
Maintenance was extra attention in bathroom which amounts to a weekly cleaning.
Today:
Got up early and cleaned windows, washed muslins on bedroom window and also bedroom curtains. Hung them up damp but they soon dried.
Today's Cleaning was my mattress - washed mattress and pillow protectors, vacuumed and flipped mattress and changed sheets. Wiped headboard and bed frame. Didn't need to vacuum under bed as I sorted this out the other week.
Went out to lunch and did a bit of shopping with friend and then came back and wiped down dressing table and chest of drawers and sorted out the drawers. Have more things for charity shop and dress agency!
Maintenance was back in the living room for what amounted to the weekly clean. Dusting, and vacuumed and wiped floor!
So quite a busy day on the Clean Project front!
Am going out now so will be back later with the news of what I have spent today! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
